I just want to point out that there are other analyses of Chinese phonetic series at Wikibooks--

Discrepancy

[edit]

The OC reading of the sign 圖 is only given as *daː here, but the only actual use as a phonetic cited, in 鄙 bǐ, is claimed to derive from the other OC reading *prɯʔ. 87.126.21.225 09:53, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Add to the series

Another discrepancy

[edit]

The reading for 壬 given here is *l̥ʰeːŋʔ, but the one that the use as a phonetic is actually based on is the other reading, *njɯm, so it is the one that should be listed here. Because of the stupid template, I have no idea how to edit this and now nobody will fix this for ages, because nobody reads this discussion page either. This is totally contrary to the whole idea of a wiki, which is supposed to be edited quickly and easily by everybody and not only by a select few insiders that have mastered its myriad templates, or else with great difficulty. A horrible tendency. 62.73.72.3 16:24, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
