ad- +‎ com- +‎ ·tá, from Proto-Celtic *tāti (compare Welsh taw (there is)), from Proto-Indo-European *steh₂-. In deuterotonic forms, ad- replaces original in-; prototonic forms are from in- +‎ ·tá.
