biscuit joiner (plural biscuit joiners)

  1. A woodworking tool used to join two pieces of wood together, having a small circular saw blade to cut a crescent-shaped slot (the "mouth") in the opposite edges of the two pieces; a biscuit (thin oval wafer of material) is then glued into this slot to join the pieces.
