Catalan

Etymology

cambra (room) +‎ -er. Compare Spanish camarero.

Pronunciation

Noun

cambrer m (plural cambrers, feminine cambrera)

  1. waiter

French

Etymology

Probably a derivative of cambre, itself from Picard or Norman, from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 159: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value ONF. is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF., from Latin camur, camurus (whence also the Old French equivalent form chambre); less likely derived from Latin camerāre.

Pronunciation

Verb

cambrer

  1. to arch (one's back, feet etc.)
