Etymology

(deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek χιασμός (khiasmós, “marked with an X”) derived from χι (khi, “Greek letter X khi”) +‎ -lite. So called from the resemblance of the crosscuts of its crystals to the Greek letter chi.
