convent school (plural convent schools)

  1. A school at which the teaching staff, and often the support staff, are nuns.
    • 1959, Anthony Burgess, Beds in the East (The Malayan Trilogy), published 1972, page 558:

  2. (India, proscribed) Any English-medium school.
