[edit]- The choice between mío/tuyo/suyo/nuestro/vuestro and mía/tuya/suya/nuestra/vuestra doesn't depend on the gender of the speaker or the thing being referred to, so either gender may be used by anyone to refer to anything. Some dialects may prefer one of the two genders.
