Usage notes

The verbal prefix in these adjectives (in this case, el-) may separate from the rest of the form (whether by reversing the order or with another element wedged in), especially following the sentence focus or with the particles is, nem, sem, and se, for example megtekinthető (“viewable”) → nem tekinthető meg (“cannot be viewed”), itt tekinthető meg (“can be viewed here”), meg is tekinthető (“can be viewed as well”).

  This argument cannot be accepted.

• Mégha ez az érvelés el is fogadható, a történteken már nem változtat.

  Even if this argument were acceptable, it would not change what had happened.
