Etymology

Probably so called because the numerous legs along the sides move rhythmically like the oars of a galley.

galley-worm (plural galley-worms)

  1. A chilognath myriapod of the genus Lua error in Module:taxlink at line 68: Parameter "noshow" is not used by this template. and allied genera, having numerous short legs along the sides; a millipede.
