  1. (British) Any of several types of wide unsurfaced paths through the countryside, especially ancient ones once used for herding animals.
  2. An unmetalled rural road.
  3. (Guernsey, Jersey) A road designated where pedestrians, cyclists and horse-riders have priority, and automobiles must not exceed a low speed limit.
