From Ottoman Turkish [script needed] (haznadar), from [script needed] (hazne), خزینه (hazîne, treasury) (Turkish hazne, hazine) + Persian دار (-dâr), present stem of داشتن (dâshtan, to have). Akin to hȁzna (treasury).
