  1. (transitive, intransitive) To moderate a moderation process.
    • 2007, Ronggong Song, Trust in E-Services: Technologies, Practices and Challenges:
      Users can volunteer to metamoderate several times per day. They are then taken to a page that shows 10 randomly selected comments on posts along with the rating previously assigned by the M1 moderator. The metamoderator's task is to decide if the moderator's rating was fair, unfair, or neither.
