mini-page (plural mini-pages)

  1. (advertising) An advertisement taking up most of a page, with the remaining border containing editorial material.
    • 1965, World's Press News and Advertisers' Review, volume 73, page 4:
      Specially cited for their "noting" power have been the mini-pages for Polycolor. Out of four case studies drawn from the pages of Woman's Own, the Polycolor ads came out well ahead of the others.
    • 1977, Direct Marketing, volume 40, page 44:
      I do trades — right now I'm running full page ads in mini-pages in Advertising Age, Media Decisions and Madison Avenue magazines.
