From Ancient Greek ῥᾳθῡμία (rhāithūmía, easiness of temper), from ῥᾴθυμος (rhā́ithumos, easy-going), from ῥᾶ (rhâ, easily) (see ῥᾴδιος (rhā́idios)) + θυμός (thumós, soul, mind)).
