Borrowed from Javanese ꦱꦁꦒꦩ (sanggama, sexual intercourse),[1] from Old Javanese saṅgama (coming together, meeting (in friendly or hostile way), union, intercourse; confluence of two rivers; sexual union), from Sanskrit सङ्गम, संगम (saṅgama, saṃgama, intercourse, sexual union; meeting, union; gathering).
