Etymology[edit]

Literally, neither row, nor number, with the ellipsis of nincs (there isn’t; it doesn’t have, they don’t have). From se (neither) +‎ szeri (dialectal form of possessive-suffixed szere, from szer (row), obsolete in this sense) +‎ se (nor) +‎ száma (its/their number, from szám).
