Etymology

Borrowed from Greek σουτζούκι (soutzoúki), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Turkish sucuk (see also: Georgian ჩურჩხელა (čurčxela, churchkhela))

soutzouki (uncountable)

  1. A dry, low-fat, spicy sausage from Greece and Turkey.
  2. A jelly prepared from wine must, which has been enriched with walnuts and formed into a roll from Greece.
