Etymology[edit]

This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.
Particularly: “Considered native Hmongic by Ratliff (in the "shirt" sense), though no reconstructed proto-form is given.[1]

The "placenta" sense is not mentioned by Ratliff at all. It's probably a semantic extension of the "shirt" meaning (placentas are the outer wear of the child in the womb, in placental mammals at least).”

Pronunciation[edit]

tsho (classifier: lub)
