English[edit]

Etymology[edit]

un- +‎ shopped

Adjective[edit]

unshopped (not comparable)

  1. From which purchases are not made; not shopped in or from.
    • 1971, Supermarketing, volume 26, page 26:
Does your dairy department have sections or shelves that are largely unshopped? Can the shopper purchase most of her planned dairy department items from one area of the case?
  2. (gaming) Of a mechanical game or arcade game: in its original physical condition, not having been repaired or restored.
    • 2005, Kevin Strasser, The PinBotz Guide to the Greatest Pinball Machines of the 80s And 90s:
Pinball Magic is a lightning fast game and has flippers that have a better feel than any game made before or since. The flippers also have an adjustment menu to alter the strength. You can actually set the flippers to be WAY too strong, which probably was not a good idea in some respects (notice that many unshopped PMs have missing or broken metal posts).
