  1. (often attributive) undomesticated animals, especially mammals, birds, and fish, which live in the wild.

  • Wildlife may be used to include certain classes of life, but not others. Often excluded are bacteria and other unicellular life or all forms of life not visible to the unaided human eye or apparently non-motile forms, such as plants and fungi.
