  1. Ylhäällä refers to something being in a location which is above some other location. It is normally translated into English as up.
    Ylhäällä vuorilla. = Up in the mountains.
    He tulivat ulos kädet ylhäällä. = They came out with their hands up.
    Oletko jo ylhäällä? = Are you up already? (awake, out of bed)
