  1. to wither, to shrivel, to fade, to dry up (e.g. of flowers)
  2. to get cool / cold, to cool down
  3. (intransitive) to freeze
    кровь сты́нет в жи́лахkrovʹ stýnet v žílaxone's blood freezes, one's blood runs cold, it makes one's blood curdle
