Usage notes[edit]

  • కదా (kadā) is used when both the speaker and the listener know the information being discussed, and the speaker wishes to bring the matter to the listener's attention.
  • కదూ (kadū) is used when the speaker's knowledge about the information being discussed is not certain, while the listener's knowledge, as far as the speaker knows, is definite, and the speaker wants confirmation from the listener.
