Etymology[edit]
From 南 ("south") + 越 ("Yue"). Qualifier "South" distinguishes this kingdom from other "Yue/Việt" tribes, eg. Minyue (闽越).

- Nanyue (an ancient kingdom that consisted of parts of the modern Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and much of modern northern Vietnam)
