internationalism (usually uncountable, plural internationalisms)

  1. (politics) Political, economic and cultural cooperation between nations.

  2. (linguistics) A loanword that occurs in several languages with the same or similar meaning and etymology.
  3. (architecture) A major architectural style that was developed in the 1920s and 1930s and was closely related to modernism, characterized by lightweight industrial materials, lack of ornamentation, and flat surfaces.
