Etymology
From Proto-Turkic *čiāk (“time”).[1]. Cognate with Turkish çağ, Turkmen çag, Crimean Tatar çağ (“era”), Tatar чак (çaq), Uzbek chogʻ, Uyghur چاغ (chagh, “era”), Chuvash чух (čuh), Yakut сах (saq).
