  1. to carry, to bear (a burden)
  2. (of wind, water, etc.) to carry along, to drive
  3. to have something (e.g. a name, sideburns, a gun...)
  4. to wear (clothes, shoes or makeup)
    • 1876, Russian Synodal Bible, Mark 6:9:
      но обуваться в простую обувь и не носить двух одежд.
      no obuvatʹsja v prostuju obuvʹ i ne nositʹ dvux odežd.
      But wear simple footwear and do not carry two sets of clothing.

Usage notes
