(colloquial) to aid, to assist materially [with dative ‘whom’ and instrumental ‘with/using what’]
Я дру́гу помога́ю де́ньгами. ― Ja drúgu pomogáju dénʹgami. ― I'm helping a friend with money.
(impersonal) to avail, to work (to have the desired effect)
Лека́рство помога́ет. ― Lekárstvo pomogájet. ― The medicine is helping.
