[edit]Arabized pronunciation and doublet of پیروز (pīrōz, piruz). Not to be semantically confused with Early Classical Persian پیروزه (pērōza, “turquoise”) and its Arabic loans, i.e. فَيْرُوز (fayrūz, “turquoise”), فِيرُوزَج (fīrūzaj), فَيْرُوزَج (fayrūzaj).
