Intensitive and causative stems of the verb ܫܵܠܹܡ (šālēm). Compare cognates of the intensitive Hebrew שִׁלֵּם (shilém) and Arabic سَلَّمَ (sallama⁩); and of the causative Hebrew הִשְׁלִים (hishlím) and Arabic أَسْلَمَ (ʔaslama) to which the sense of “to convert to Islam” is derived from.
