Usage notes
[edit]- ܪܒ݂ܝܼܥܵܐ (rḇīˁā) is used mostly in formal settings and technical contexts (as in e.g. * ܫܲܘܝܘܼܬ݂ܵܐ ܪܒ݂ܝܼܥܵܝܬܵܐ (šawyūṯā rḇīˁāytā, “vernal equinox”)) or poetic contexts. In colloquial speech, ܒܹܝܬ݂ ܢ̈ܝܼܣܵܢܹܐ (bēṯ nīsānē) predominates. Some dialects may also use the Persian loan ܒܲܗܵܪ (bahhār).
