    From Old Dhivehi *𑤆𑤖𑤳 (*eṭu), Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀝𑁆𑀞𑀺 (aṭṭhi), from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀅𑀱𑁆𑀝𑀺 (*aṣṭi), from Sanskrit अष्ठि (aṣṭhi).[1]
