Usage notes[edit]

Historically, 'คน' was never written 'ฅน'. The letter 'ฅ' was once called 'ฅ ฅอคน' (kho khokhon, neck of a person), but nowadays it has worn down to 'ฅ คน' (kho khon, person). This leads to the misspelling of 'ฅน'. However, 'ฅน' is occasionally used in book, movie, or TV program titles and such usage is considered a neologism.
