Etymology

From Sanskrit अनुक्रम (anukrama, succession, order, sequence; arrangement; table of contents, index; etc.); compare Pali anukkama (order; turn; succession; etc). Equivalent to อนุ (à-nú) + กรม (grom). Cognate with Lao ອະນຸກົມ (ʼa nu kom), Khmer អនុក្រម (ʼaʼnukrɑm).
