[edit]From ไม่ (mâi, “not”) + เผา (pǎo, “to burn”) + ผี (pǐi, “corpse”); meaning to refuse to attend the cremation rite of a dead person because of utter hatred, anger, or revenge towards that person, indicating that the person is not forgiven even after his death.
