Ancient Greek

Etymology

A derivation from εἶμι (eîmi, to go) with a suffix "-θμο-" has been assumed, comparing also Old Norse eið (isthmus). However, the "-σ-" is unexplained, so the word could well be of Lua error in Module:parameters at line 239: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "pregrc" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. origin.
