Etymology

Originally a compound of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Japanese elements (ko, this) +‎ (mo, too) +‎ (ko, this) +‎ (mo, too). Appears as komokomo in older texts, evolving into komogomo in modern Japanese.
