Borrowed from Latin -issimus, and partly based on the model of Italian -issimo.

1. Added to adjectives to form the absolute superlative.

   ‎mismo (“same”) + ‎-ísimo → ‎mismísimo (“very same”)

2. Added to adverbs to form the superlative.

   ‎lejos (“far”) + ‎-ísimo → ‎lejísimo (“very far”)

   ‎tarde (“late”) + ‎-ísimo → ‎tardísimo (“very late”)
