- (Islam) The call to prayer, which consisted originally of simply four takbirs followed by the statement لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله (lā ʔilāha ʔillā llāh) (أَشْهَدُ أَنْ) ((ʔašhadu ʔan)).
- If one pray alone, then no adhan is needed.
