Brüderschaft f (genitive Brüderschaft, plural Brüderschaften)

  1. brotherhood (the state of being brothers or considering each other as brethren)
  2. (less common) Alternative form of Bruderschaft (fraternity)
  3. A drink, usually alcoholic, shared (usually between men) to seal a friendship and mark the change from the use of the plural Sie second-person pronoun to the familiar du pronoun
