Cognate to Proto-Turkic *diāĺ (stone) (Turkish taş, Chuvash чул (čul, stone)). A possible relation includes Proto-Tungusic *ʒola (stone) (Evenki дёло (ʒolo, stone)). Compare also Korean (dol, stone).
