Difference to 明

Okinawan pronunciation

@Poketalker I don't know how to add the bars in the pronunciation or use the modules. Also, I think that Nakijin is actually Kunigami. MiguelX413 (talk) 14:52, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

@MiguelX413: from my recent exploration of Wiktionary, there is the {{overline}} template for 平板型 (heiban-gata) accented terms. Can't remember where the vertical line template is though. Will continue looking... are templates {{ja-accent/down}}, {{ja-accent/high}}, {{ja-accent/low}} and {{ja-accent/unvoiced}} (for de-voicings). Use them well!

With regards to Nakijin, pinging @Kwékwlos, Mellohi!; they have contributed much to the Proto-Japonic and Ryukyuan reconstructions. We have the links to the Shuri-Naha Dialect Dictionary, Nakijin Dialect Dictionary, Amami Dialect Dictionary, and the Miyako Dialect Dictionary. Nakijin is definitely Kunigami. There's also a Alexandra Jarosz-edited edition of Nevsky's fieldwork on Miyako floating around, which contains many cognate lists to Miyako terms. mellohi! (僕の乖離) 01:34, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

@Poketalker: I wonder if we can make templates for 平板型 and 下降型 (the two types of pitch accent in Okinawan) with those, thank you! Another idea would be implementing 下降型 into the current ja-pron system, or maybe we could even get a ryu-pron system? If anyone proficient in Lua would be willing to collaborate, I have a lot of resources collected and a book on Okinawan, and there's definitely people here with enough knowledge. @Poketalker: Hi, the Shuri-Naha dialect falls under Okinawan proper, the Nakijin dialect is Kunigami, and the Amami dialect refers to the dialect of Yamatohama of Northern Amami-Oshima. Kwékwlos (talk) 06:26, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
