Bore (etymology 2)

I've deleted the unfounded etymology "Compare Icelandic word for 'wave'". First of all this Icelandic word should at least be named. Secondly, I've read in more than one source that the word is of Indian origin. I don't know any details. Please add a properly founded etymology if you can. Kolmiel (talk) 17:38, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Etymology of bore (Cornish/Welsh)

• First of all, I've modified the Cornish etymology entry so that it's clear how modern Irish amárach relates to Old Irish bárach. As to whether we can say that OI bárach on its own means 'tomorrow' or not, see "Talk:bárach."
• Second of all, I've modified the Welsh etymology entry so that it looks the same as the Cornish one. Any claims that bore comes from PC *māregos (instead of *bārego-, with a b-) and that that supposed *māregos comes from PIE *mr̥Hko are unsustainable. Ryba g (talk) 17:54, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
