No, that's cercopithecine. In general, the ending -inae (meaning subfamily) in taxonomic names corresponds to an English ending -ine, while the ending -ini (meaning tribe) can correspond to either -ine or in.
I was unable to find anything in Google Books to support the challenged sense, but there's lots of interference caused by use of the æ ligature in the taxonomic name. As for which sense is represented where it's not spelled out: the other tribe in the subfamily is Papionini, so anything that uses cercopithecin in parallel with papionin or papionine is referring to the tribe.
