SOP. Deserves to be a collocation. I also don't think it passes the other tests. Vininn126 (talk) 16:04, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, per lemming. In my experience feather boa is also used generically for boas made of other similar materials, but that may just be misuse. - TheDaveRoss 12:37, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Weak keep per WT:LEMMING, though I will say that some of the links at the above are broken and/or don't lead anywhere (Cambridge & Dictionary.com, for example). AG202 (talk) 17:06, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@AG202: That is often just Onelook not keeping up with the conventions of target sites, if you search for the term on the target dictionary directly it will usually be there. In this case Cambridge has it and Dictionary.com does not. - TheDaveRoss 12:32, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've never encountered any other collocation with this sense of boa. I wonder if WT:JIFFY applies. Chuck Entz (talk) 13:39, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fur. Theknightwho (talk) 13:49, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know the etymology of the term, but I would believe it if someone said it went feather boa -> boa -> fur boa. - TheDaveRoss 14:25, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It does look like "fur boa" is as old as, or slightly older than "fur boa", and references without qualifiers go back to at least 1827. Chuck Entz (talk) 14:54, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Chuck Entz, your message is a tad confusing. Which one is older? PUC18:11, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think Chuck's point was that boa alone pre-dates both feather boa and fur boa, so WT:JIFFY cannot apply. Theknightwho (talk) 13:08, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep per WT:LEMMING. Binarystep (talk) 00:05, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Facts707 (talk) 10:44, 10 August 2022 (UTC) Just redirect to boa#English. I'm tempted... Facts707 (talk) 12:06, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
? Reopened. Not even close to being 30 days. AG202 (talk) 16:41, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, should have tagged this as Speedy kept Dunderdool (talk) 13:01, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Reopened again. This wasn't even a unanimous vote to keep; there's no reason to speedy it. CC: @Fytcha. AG202 (talk) 13:08, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
WF has a deep and abiding passion for his feather boa collection, these out-of-process closures are just his way of trying to protect something of great personal value. Don't be offended. - TheDaveRoss 13:11, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not offended, was just very confused as to why it was being speedied, but I guess that makes sense. AG202 (talk) 13:18, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
