The most recent cite, "Well, now there's still Duh Bone at least until Cumulus flaccifies it", uses a metaphorical play on the name of The Bone. For those not in the know, that Usenet post refers to The Bone, a hard-rock station in San Francisco, so it's talking about "flaccifying" it as if it were a literal bone. As for how I found those cites: I searched Google Books and Usenet for "flaccify", then "flaccifies", then "flaccifying", then "flaccified". I then searched for some hyphenated forms on Google Books by looking up "flacci fy", etc. I found one more book with "flacci- fying", and one more with "flacci- fied".
