Rfv-sense: A process in which individual organisms or phenotypes that possess favourable traits are more likely to survive and reproduce: the differential survival and reproduction of phenotypes.

Tagged but not listed. I am not really clear how this differs significantly from the first definition. The two definitions have been in place since @Axel147~enwiktionary entered them in March, 2006. But if someone wants to add cites that make the distinction clear, or describe the distinction to me well enough that I can find the cites, it would be a good thing. I think it's trivial to show that it is a duplicate definition, and I would say it could be removed without even being RFV'ed. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 03:45, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps, but since both definitions were added by the same editor at the same time, he or she presumably had SOME distinction in mind. Kiwima (talk) 05:02, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Back then, we didn't have the standard that each definition had to be distinct. It was acceptable to have one definition from a organismal biology perspective and another from a genetics perspective. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:06, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
I sometimes wonder if it would be possible/useful to get a list of all pages that were created before, say, 2006 (supposedly only ~100k entries), or 2007 (~300k), to check them for this kind of thing. It'd be especially useful if entries with only one definition per POS could then be filtered out. - -sche (discuss) 06:11, 15 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

RFV-resolved - the two entries have been merged. Kiwima (talk) 20:14, 7 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
