i'm new to wiktionary so don't want to modify the page itself, but a missing definition for "wet" is adj: Modified, especially an audio signal. For example the signal from the microphone is dry and the signal out of the distortion-box is wet. - o. elenzil 20060830

In the process of becoming wet/wetter[edit]

Is wettening a word? I've heard it used in the context of "becoming wetter", but have yet to find it in any dictionary.

If it isn't, what is the proper term for this tense? Coolgamer 19:46, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Not a word. Probably a confusion by analogy with moisten. In good English, we say "getting wetter". —Stephen 08:33, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
