• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.

• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.

Format

The parameter "pl=-" in {{es-noun}} puts entries in Category:Spanish terms needing attention. Just use a hyphen instead. Ultimateria (talk) 15:11, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

      • Because there were a lot of entries in that category that shouldn't have been. And it's easier for me if you change your formatting so I don't have to change your entries. Ultimateria (talk) 16:49, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Mentoring

I can mentor you. I checked your contributions and in general they are pretty good. The first two things that I recommend that you do are:

• Create a user page with a {{Babel}} template, so we can know what languages you speak.

Here is the feedback for your recent edits (from 09:44, 25 July 2012 to 10:33, 25 July 2012):

The explanation of each is in the edit summary. Some mistakes you committed on the first edits but eventually got it right.

• There is no need to link manually to the language heading ([[estallido#Spanish|estallido]]) in templates which have a lang=es parameter.
• Some nouns have feminine forms, which you can add with a f= parameter.
• {{es-verb}} must have two parameters: the root and the stem ({{es-verb|defas|ar}}). Otherwise it is added to Category:Spanish terms needing attention.
• sastra: Shouldn’t that be sastre? If it should, add {{delete}} to the entry.
• sastra should have a {{feminine of}} definition, and the headline a m= parameter.

I'd like to add one little thing: when you create a Spanish verb and you're confident that the conjugation table is correct, you should add it to User:BuchmeierBot/FeedMe so the bot can create the verb forms. However, it doesn't work for reflexive verbs. Ultimateria (talk) 16:57, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

That's great stuff. All useful ideas. As for the incorrect plurals, I see no difference between yours and mine, and mine were created using WT:ACCEL, which is quick.
