Transliteration

[edit]

“properly transliterated according to the general rules of the language” – meaning Wiktionary’s conventional transliteration, any international standard method, government or language authority rules, or any standard method at all? Michael Z. 2014-02-01 18:05 z

Names

[edit]

Are names allowed? --WikiTiki89 23:19, 1 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yep. --Back on the list (talk) 16:58, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Non-highest-scoring word placed on the board...?

[edit]

It shows Wikitiki's word as scoring higher than mine, but mine is the one placed on the board. Something wrong? Equinox 22:24, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kc kennylau You can't change it this late in the day when most people have probably submitted new words. --WikiTiki89 03:45, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Wikitiki89 Eh... Then what should I do now? --kc_kennylau (talk) 03:52, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Just keep playing with VYES on the board. It doesn't really make a difference. I still got my points anyway. --WikiTiki89 04:13, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Do you mind doing the reverting yourself? --kc_kennylau (talk) 05:49, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please check

[edit]

Hi players. In the future, could you please submit your score when you submit your answers! This way my mistakes will be minimal. --Back on the list (talk) 07:55, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Does that mean today didn't count? --WikiTiki89 07:58, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
It means that you have an extra 24 hours with the new (correct) board. Sorry for the inconvenience. --Back on the list (talk) 11:21, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Multiplier squares

[edit]

Is the multiplier only used once by the first person to put a letter on it? I thought that if you add to a word that's on a multiplier, you get the multiplier again. --WikiTiki89 15:13, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Wikitiki89 According to the Scrabble rules as I know it, each multiplier is only used once. --kc_kennylau (talk) 15:26, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thanks. Then my previous submission was based on my faulty knowledge of the rules. --WikiTiki89 15:27, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes indeed. No third chances this time! --Back on the list (talk) 15:39, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm not asking for one. --WikiTiki89 15:49, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

New rule

[edit]

I'm imposing a new rule. From now on, for a play to be valid, it must have an entry before scoring takes place. In addition, any previous plays without an entry before the end of the game are deemed invalid. --Back on the list (talk) 11:54, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Mistake on the board

[edit]

You put ERNSER instead of ERNSEH. --WikiTiki89 17:30, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Goddamit, I'm glad I'm not living in the Panem universe. As Gamesmaster I would've been given poisonous berries a long time ago. On the flip side, I would be sporting a much more majestic moustache than the one I have now. --Back on the list (talk) 18:33, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
